This week’s Grave of the Week is Cheryl Hamilton. Cheryl was born in 1949 and spent much of her life in Orange County. She and her husband moved to Exeter after two of her sons joined the military. Cheryl passed in 2015.
Cheryl’s life revolved around her family. She worked for almost 20 years in her husband’s law practice and even “enjoyed some of it.” She was a little-league mom and liked horses and gardening. She also loved rock-n-roll and country music. Once, she sat 8 feet from Elvis and held eye contact with him!
Cheryl gave freely of herself and her time. While growing up, she helped her mother raise foster babies. At Christmas, she would dress as Santa and pass out gifts and money at malls and in various neighborhoods.
At the time of her passing, Cheryl was survived by her husband, three children, and two granddaughters.
Please share any pleasant memories you have of Cheryl or her family here.
