Daniel Garza

On October 2, 2024

This week’s Grave of the Week comes from Deep Creek. The family had lovingly cleaned around the stone and placed a beautiful red rose. Daniel Garza was born May 19, 1955, and passed May 3, 2014, after an illness.

Daniel proudly served his country in the US Army. He worked at the Student Services Division of Foothills Community College.

He was known for his great sense of humor and his habit of nicknaming all his family and friends. He was known as “Turtle,” and you can see a turtle on his plaque.

He was preceded in death by his parents; he is buried in the same plot as his father as shown in the attached picture. Daniel left behind his son, grandchildren, sisters, a brother, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Please share any warm memories you have of Daniel, Pedro, or the Garza family.
