This week’s Grave of the Week is Scott Christopher George. Scott was born in 1972 and passed in 1995. Taken too soon, Scott was a kind and generous person who touched the lives of all he met.
Scott was a Monarch and was described by his classmates as both funny and sweet. He liked Ag classes at the Ag farm. He also enjoyed rodeos and anything cowboy. One of his loves was his red Chevy 4×4 truck.
He had a passion for life, loving water skiing and western line dancing. Mostly he loved people; always giving of himself.
For his family, who had to endure more than most when Scott died, being able to lay Scott to rest and bring him home was closure. His grave’s inscription reads, “Goin’ Home.” While Scott was only around a short 23 years, they were full years spent living life to the fullest and influencing the lives of his family, friends, and community. Over 300 people attended Scott’s funeral to pay their respects to this young man.
Thank you to Scott’s cousin for sharing Scott’s story. Please share your memories of Scott and the impact he made. Let’s show his family that they are not the only ones who still miss Scott.
