This week’s Grave of the Week was a suggestion from Betty J Wolverton George. Stanley Morgan attended mortuary school before enlisting in the Marines Corps Reserve. His Marine pride can be seen on his gravestone. He spent most of his career in law enforcement working as a correctional officer, parole officer and later, opened his own private investigation business
It was said that “Stan never met a stranger; everyone he encountered became his friend.”
Stan was a true friend to the Exeter Cemetery District. Stan took many pictures in the Exeter Cemetery that are displayed on findagrave.com. Ms. Wolverton George asked to highlight Stan’s life because of that work. She indicated that Stan took most of the photos of her family’s stones and that even when his days were numbered, he continued to photograph headstones and post them online.

The Cemetery District received many shovel donations and thanks everyone for their support. If anyone has a commercial, battery powered leaf blower, the District is in need to help keep the cemeteries in pristine condition.
