This week’s Grave of the Week is Janice Knox Crow. Janice was born in Exeter on September 17, 1931. She went to school in Exeter and graduated from Exeter Union High School in 1949. She passed away on October 3, 2006.

Ms. Crow worked in the medical field, serving as medical records and medical staff administrator at different hospitals in Tulare, Kings and Fresno Counties. For 33 years, she taught medical terminology classes at COS.

Janice was active in the 1949 Exeter High reunion committee. She kept their records and enjoyed her time renewing old friendships.

She was also active in the Exeter United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday School for the church. She loved to read and travel throughout the US, Europe, Mexico and Canada.

Janice was generous to all; always willing to lend a hand, even to a stranger. She was quick to smile and laugh. She made the world a better place.

She was survived by her children and grandsons. Janice said, “I was born in Exeter, lived in Exeter and died in Exeter, but there has been a lot of living during this lifetime. Exeter has been a wonderful place to live and raise my children.”

Please share your memories of Janice and help show her family that the community she loved still loves her.
