This week’s Grave of the Week is 15-year-old Michael Jones. Michael loved his life and family. He spent hours entertaining his family with his guitar playing. He was taught to play by his uncle. Michael, his brother, uncle and cousin enjoyed their jam sessions and playing for all.
He was a freshman at Exeter High and a member of the FFA. He showed his first hog at the county fair and received first place in his market class. With the money earned he purchased recording equipment for his guitar. He and his brother intended to open a music studio called, “Jones Studios.”
He loved ag classes at the high school where he had many friends. He was very popular; he made everyone laugh and never spoke ill of anyone. He saw the good in everyone he met.
Michael did as much as he could with his life. He spent a lot of time with his family at their cabin in Pine Flat. He liked hunting and shooting and his favorite barbeques were elk and deer. He went on his first cruise for his Papa’s 60th birthday and a class trip to San Francisco. He went to a Kid Rock concert with his brother and camped at the coast. He also got to proudly watch his little brother graduate from pre-school.
Please share your happy memories of Michael and show the Jones family that Michael is still remembered by his community.
