Robert Lea

On February 4, 2025

This week’s Grave of the Week is Robert Lea III, of Elderwood. Robert was born in 1984 to Robert and Elizabeth Lea, and he passed following a car accident in 2021.

Robert attended school in Visalia and at West Hills College. He was an athlete who loved Rodeo.

After marrying his beloved wife Tami, the couple settled in Elderwood and welcomed two children. Robert owned, built, and managed several businesses. He thrived on hard work and passed that ethic on to his children. Robert became an A.C.T.R.A. (American Cowboy Team Roping Association) producer and he and Tami produced many events. In 2020, he brought back and produced the Annual 3 Rivers Lions Club Roping. He also served as president of the C.J.C.A. (California Junior Cowboys Association). The association became the largest junior Rodeo association in the state. Robert went out of his way to know the contestants and their families. He assisted, and encouraged, along every step. The C.J.C.A. holds a memorial Rodeo in Robert’s honor every year.

If you knew Robert, or know his family, please share your happy memories here.
