This week’s Grave of the Week is a little different. I would like the community’s help to identify certain graves and history in the cemeteries. The stone is upright, and the inscription appears to be set in pebbles. There is a cross on top. The name looks like G. Minatta, followed by M, 13 F 1923. There is a reference to Joe, Josephine, and Lamama Minatta on some records but no other information has been found. The stone and pebbles are still in relatively good shape for possibly being 101 years old. It is unknown when the marker was set.
Please comment if you have any information on this grave. Has anyone heard of the Minnatta family? Is there a reason the inscription was set in pebbles? There are a few stones that have similar settings in the cemetery. This stone is particularly interesting and any information the community could provide would be appreciated.
Message if you know anyone who should be featured on Grave of the Week. Please include any information about the person’s life and where the grave is located.
